If you have a mother, you should read I Am My Mother’s Daughter: Making Peace With Mom before It’s Too Late, and you should read it now, before it is too late.
I only wish I had overcome my anger, guilt, and resentment at my mother before it was too late for me. I wish, too, that I had time again with my own daughters and I would tell them that I love them. Why did I not do that? Why didn’t I tell my own mother that I loved her? Have you told yours?

Just as we once did not realise the powerful effect of outside cultural stereotypes upon our lives as women, we don’t realise the powerful forces within us which influence how we behave.
Archetypes heavily influence our life cycle, propelling a neurologically hard-wired sequence which Jung called the stages of life. Each stage is mediated through a new set of archetypal imperatives which seek fulfillment in action.
Dreams and myths are constellations of archetypal images. The archetype speaks through us. It is both a presence, and a possibility, of significance. Our ancestors called these archetypes gods.
Penetrating though Jung was, he failed to see that women are influenced by different archetypes than men.
Each week we will touch a little on feminine archetypes, think of this as Archetypes of Women 101. From there we will move into Goddess Aspects, a tool for daily use and one which can be wielded easily without having to know too much of Jungian psychology.
