Kaizen for Everyday
Kaizen is a way of life philosophy built on the premise that every aspect of our life deserves to be constantly improved.
Translation
(”kai”) means “change” or “the action to correct”
(”zen”) means “good”
In the corporate world, it’s an efficiency and defect-proofing system which continually improves all functions of a business from manufacturing to management from the CEO to the assembly line workers. Kaizen was first implemented in several Japanese businesses after World War II.
Western philosophy may be summarised as, “if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it.” The Kaizen philosophy is to “do it better, make it better, improve it even if it isn’t broken.”
